Medical and Health Science Centre
University of Debrecen is offering wonderful prospects for the Pakistani students, who are interested to complete their medical education from any renowned European medical institution. University medical school attained its independent status in 1951 under the ministry of health. Now named as the University Medical and Health Science Centre has been running 22 departments of basic science and 25 clinical departments offering numerous undergraduate, postgraduate and Doctorate level programs. Its various science disciplines for international students are equally good for Pakistani students as the medium of education is English for all foreign students.
Hungary is among the European Union member countries and the university is located in the second largest city of the country, Debrecen. The city is famous as a center of culture and education in Eastern Hungary. University of Debrecen Programs: Session 2011-2012
University of Debrecen is one of the prestigious Medical centres that have been offering Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry graduate programs along with Physiotherapy and Public Health programs for international students in English language. In each semester university is also providing opportunity to learn Hungarian language which would be mode of communication while internship or practical job.
Basic Medicine Course (Premedical Studies)
One year pre medical course of two semesters; Pakistani students have no medical education before and interested for graduate medical programs can apply to get eligible for medical studies.
Medicine
Six year extensive program including one year internship; Pakistani students having higher secondary school certificate in pre medical studies can apply for the medicine program. After successful completion of 6 years medicine program; the student will be awarded M.D degree.
Dentistry
Five year extensive program; Pakistani students can apply. Students will be awarded D.M.D degree on successful completion.
Pharmacy
Five year program comprises ten semesters and it leads to Doctor of Pharmacy degree is equally good for Pakistani students.
BSc in Physiotherapy
240 credits program covering 8 semesters; Pakistani students willing to join this program can apply to choose this prosperous profession.
BSc in Public Health
240 credits program comprises 8 semesters; equally good for Pakistani students and they can apply take a step towards rapidly expanding fields of public health.
Master of Science (MSc) in Public Health
MSc public Health contains 90 credits for master graduates, 120 credits for bachelor graduates. University degree is the basic requirements for international students, Pakistani students willing to get admission in this program can apply.
Those students, who will be enrolled in such programs which include internship, will have to learn Hungarian language before starting internship. All such programs are including a course of Hungary language in the final semester.
